Toowoomba is getting its own taste of Hollywood on Easter Thursday with the opening, red-carpet launch of the Easterfest City Film Festival featuring Justin Dillans film Call + Response.

This special event, held in the historical Birch, Carroll and Coyle Strand Cinemas on Margaret St, will bring together community leaders and dignitaries to celebrate the innagural Easterfest City festival. Members of the public are also invited to attend this very special occasion and can purchase tickets from Birch, Carrol and Coyle - The Strand.

Call + Response reveals the world's 27 million dirtiest secrets: there are more slaves today than ever before in human history. Going deep undercover Call + Response exposes slavery from the child brothels of Cambodia to the slave brick kilns of rural india.

Easterfest City Film Festival is a brand new festival to be held in the heart of Toowoomba over the Easterweekend, to promote a selection of films with a positive message, with the aim to create a greater awareness of important issues in the community.
